As a local event planner and company owner of A Piece of Cake Event Planning, I have worked with a fair share of wedding professionals in the area. It is so important for couples to hire a professional wedding vendors that they can trust and know will provide honest services. Choosing a bad vendor can cause a lot of stress and unnecessary worry on your wedding day. Here are a few tips to help you find the best vendors for your special day.

One of the many decisions you will need to make as a newly engaged couple is whether or not to have engagement portraits taken by a professional photographer. Engagement sessions have become increasingly popular in recent years. Many professional photographers even include an engagement session as a part of their wedding photography packages. Make sure you have plenty of time to order a dress. Since wedding dresses typically take 6-8 months to come in after ordering, dress shopping should be one of the first to-dos on your list. Don't forget to also take about 2-3 months of alterations into consideration. Purchasing a sample dress off the rack is an option at some stores, but this will limit your selection.
