A note from the bride:
"Our wedding day dawned chilly and early—my girls and I were up at 6 AM to be at the salon for hair and make-up at 8. The morning was a lot of fun as we sipped mimosas and primped for the day. We had lunch once we got to the wedding venue (this is key—feed your bridal party, your groom, and yourself! We ordered trays of wraps/sandwiches) and then got dressed. After that, it was a frenzied whirlwind. I was finally starting to realize it would soon be time to walk down the aisle and I felt like we were running behind, even though we were right on schedule. When I looked out the window and saw our incredible floral arch being set up (by Kristi Sanders, of At Last Florals), it really felt ‘real’. I credit one of our amazing photographers, Kylene, with keeping me calm and happy, because I was freaking out! Every time I saw her, I knew everything was going to work out okay. Pat and I didn’t do a first look, but we did exchange gifts and notes, which was really a sweet moment and reminded us both of what the day was all about.
Once the wedding began and I walked down the aisle, everything went very quickly—but at the same time, it felt like time had stopped, as we both agreed later. We had such a fun night dancing and celebrating with our most beloved family and friends (we kept our wedding small, at just over 70 people in attendance). Everything went beautifully and we really have our amazing vendor team to thank for that—they all worked together so well and made sure everything went off without a hitch. We were lucky enough to find our DJ (Nate of Amplify Entertainment) after attending a TAWP Bridal Show last year, and he referred us to several of our other vendors we ended up booking. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to, and kept raving about our photographers (Kylene & Ryan Studios) and how dedicated they were to getting the best shots (Ryan was literally crawling around on the floor, and Kylene was jumping on chairs!), and our awesome DJ for always knowing what music the crowd wanted to hear. He really chose a good mix of oldies and modern music to keep our mixed-ages crowd happy and dancing. Pat and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, and we are so happy to be married!” -Nora Bailey
